It seems, in this story at least, that revenge isn't so simple as crime plus vengeance and that's it done. I think that I came away from this thinking about how complex and well developed the theme of revenge was, and the slippery slope chaos it can pull a person onto. what is particularly great about it is that it isn't just one revenge story; it is a whole cast of characters who get pulled into the business of seeking revenge. their ambitions, their flaws and their sanity- or lack of- are the qualities all exposed as many actors seek to fulfill their own vengeance on whoever has offended them. it seems that this story could never end.but I do think that it was a good ending because the story was written to the fullest and the revenge fully exposed by all of the people, innocent or not, who were drawn into it. there is a wonderful analogy in this book " when I cut off the head of the snake, more snakes came pouring out". In the end, with the conclusion to Audra's struggles and all that had happened to her and everyone around her, I think this one came to the right ending.

This last book of the Trilogy was awesome. Ashley has become my favorite author. The way she writes keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole series of the trilogy. She can weave a tangled web better than any other author I have ever read. This last one really shows how there can be no end to revenge once it has started.Please do not cheat yourselves out of reading this trilogy of books.. She gets an A plus plus plus from me. The third book-Adjusting Journal Entries, is a climatic end to an awesome trilogy..........all three books come together and makes you truly ask the question- "Is revenge the best route?" What comes around goes around, but are we the ones to hold that fate? This trilogy is a must read, and will capture you from the beginning to the end......Enjoy!
I definitely enjoyed this series so far. I am a contract bookkeeper by trade and since this story started in an Accounting firm, I knew I had to read it. I have not been disappointed. The author continues to evolve her characters and story keeps taking twists you just don't expect.
The 3rd in the series, I read all three and was hooked from the very beginning. Just when you think things couldn't get any worse for our heroine, they do. I really recommend you start with the first because they "flow". While Ashley (the author) gives some background in each of the books, I found it much more enlightening to get the full picture. Very good read. Thank you so much for writing this Ashley.

I have really enjoyed this series. Twists and turns galore, excitement, mystery, love! Everything you could wish for is in this book and series. This is the last of the series, and I can say that I loved it, until the very end... this cannot be the last book! There is MORE to happen, and I was left thinking, there has to be a next book! I'm not sure I like having the book end this way knowing there isn't a 4th. Even so, I really think you'll enjoy this book, I did.
I began reading this title immediately after finishing Zero Balance and, like it's two predecessors, I couldn't put it down. I was spellbound, wondering what was going to happen next...and I am still wondering. Will there be a 4th title or do I get to draw my own conclusions?
There is something about Ashley Fontainne's story-telling capabilities which lingers with me even months after finishing one of her titles. I'm still trying to pinpoint just what that something is...
The final book in this trilogy is absolutely amazing and suspenseful. The twists and turns of the intricate plot are woven together in a wicked harmony. Once I started, I couldn't stop until I finished. Truly, a series that delves into the excitement of revenge, then slaps you with the reality that what goes around comes around, tenfold. An excellent thriller full of characters you will love, and also love to hate. Fontainne does her research and knows her material well, and brings the people and events to heart-stopping life. She craftily puts you right inside their heads and lives. I am so glad I discovered this author and this series. If you miss it, you will miss something unique and special. A job more than just well-done.
